  • Group: A Documentary Series

    Viewer discretion definitely is advised.

I couldn’t even tell you how I came across this one — digging on the internet gets wild sometimes.

Group therapy has always been something I’ve been curious about. I’ve never had the chance to be part of a professional guided session, but my curiosity has taken me down some rabbit holes. I was looking for local options, then online, then somehow I landed on this real recorded session using a specific approach in guiding participants through.

This documentary made me feel like I was sitting right there in the room. Some moments were uncomfortable. Some had me in tears. Ultimately, it left a strong impression on me and reminded me of something powerful… Our shared humanity isn’t our biggest breakdown– it’s our strongest connection.

(That last statement was from a group at House of Ride that articulated this as their closing statement for the workshop we did.. powerful!)

  • My first YouTube Video: House of Ride

This one hits different. It was special in a way I can’t fully explain. Shoutout to Harry and Felicia!

It was my first time running classes and workshops in a setting like this. Coaches from all over the world pulled up, creating this “third space” where we could connect, build, and actually learn from each other. No egos. No judgment. Just connection and support.

It wasn’t like being in a studio. And it wasn’t like guest teaching at a studio or special location. There was a different feel to it. I think because of the setting. This was located in a place that seemed like a community center, in a random room, while other people were just living their lives doing whatever activity interest them. Some were working, some grabbing some food, some playing volleyball or basketball. It was all happening around us.

That somehow, made everything even better. It felt open, raw, and real.

Super grateful to have been part of it.

  • Simon Sinek & Trevor Noah in Convo

This one really struck a chord with me. Are you working on your friendships?

Maybe it’s by no accident that you’ve stumbled across this post…. Real friendship is quite a new experience for me. It’s not something that I felt like I had or was able to give growing up. No one really teaches you how to be a real friend. Fortunately enough, it is something that I feel like I have now and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. This convo inspired me to want to actually work on my friendships in the same way that I work on my business, dreams, and even my romantic relationship. It inspired me to want to tell my friends that I love them. What if better interactions and deeper relationships with our close friends can lead to more fulfillment in all areas in our life?

  • Having Fun Is The Secret

Catherine Price‘s TED Talk made me rethink what fun really means. She’s got me thinking that the more we tap into it, the more alive we will feel.
